I made a documentary of the world
And no matter where I went
Things weren’t getting any better
So I wrote GOD this letter
Dear father who art in heaven
Ever since I was seven
I looked at the sky
And didn’t understand
The meaning of heaven
Or the purpose of life
If
I could get a hundred women
Why get a wife
If I could buy a gun
Why get a knife
Without a purpose
We’re left with this chaos
We call life
Then GOD wrote me back a letter
Packed inside a sweater
With a post script
That said
This is for the weather
And the body
Went like this
The purpose of life
Isn’t for things to get worse
Or get better
Or like a song
The beauty doesn’t … Continue reading

Mediocre Poetry
Mediocre emotion
Asking you to ‘mediocrely’ vote for me
Show me mediocre devotion
I haven’t been like this
Since the first time I saw white kids
Asking them
What’s the surprise
It was a new vision for my eyes
But I guess I was expecting more
So here we are again in life
Asking
What’s the surprise
These views…
Yes…
Are all seemingly new to my eyes
But what’s the surprise
Conversations grown more lacklustre
They lack spark
Some might even say determination
They lack heart
May I say it’s false inspiration
And don’t start
To disagree until you hear me out
When I write I see no image…
I must create
Then recreate
To simply convey a simple thought
I’m in a realm so lonely it’s simply prison
When you’re caught
I struggle to put words on this paper
As if they don’t exist
Maybe they don’t
But they … Continue reading
100 Day Story: Day 002
He woke to a sound
Crying
Getting adjusted to the dark
It was all in his head
Looking over
Sharing his sheets
Was the Truth
Still in his bed
Sleeping over
She had been for a while now
He took in her face
And her smile
Wow
Although she was asleep
It tried to reach her eyes
He had asked her
Why she chose to stay
And she had said
It was because he had
Faced her honestly
Finally
Admitting
To the loss
Hole that could never be filled
Whole
Was going to come down
To perspective
Will
He ever see it again
That
He didn’t know
But he needed a companion
And there was none more reliable
Than the Truth
In truth
He had been able to move forward
Stop blaming himself
For past mistakes
Seeing how to make his future better
Although
It was when
He met the … Continue reading
Context
Imagine
Somewhere
Somehow
You’ve been labelled a criminal
The type doing the enterprise thing
People approach you
Thinking you might be
Frightening
Not knowing you want a similar
You want a like thing
Peace
There will come a time
When you put on fancy clothes
Bridge the gap
Between day and night and
Get both sides to see the other
You come close at one point
A land sighting
Just to have the elitist
On both sides say
“We don’t like him.
There’s something off about his actions,
His motives.
Without understanding
We don’t like them.”
Even though you had endless discussions
Talking like friends
They refused to stand for you
Keeping up appearances
Judging your appearances
You refuse to provide them
With ID and such
Thinking it might end
While trying to make it out
Of a bad situation
Without guidance
You admit to mistakes
Padded with lies
From … Continue reading
