The Buddhist believe that attaching one’s
Emotions
To something that is in constant change
Can only lead to Sorrow…
So as a woman who is learning
And thus is in constant change
Who chooses to love a man who is also learning
And consequently, is in constant change
Am I therefore, choosing to experience
Sorrow in addition to Love…
And is this Sorrow necessary
In order for me to appreciate
And fight for that love even more
Or will that Sorrow eventually overwhelm
And simply suffocate that love…
In my walks through the many shadows
On my eternal quest for Nirvana
I have encountered those who have taught me Love
And those who have taught me sorrow
In looking at my journey with a seeing mind
I fully accept that I could not have become the woman that I am
Had I not experienced both
It is in this Acceptance … Continue reading

Seriously

Seriously on a real note
I don’t take many people seriously
Like the wrong man getting in
On a real vote
Like I ran NATO and the UN
I use my veto
You know
Taking people seriously
Isn’t good or bad
I just don’t
And that doesn’t make me good or bad
Now you’re taking it personal
Just…
Just…
Seriously
Don’t
That was a dramatic re-enactment
Trying to encompass all the facts
Then explain as briefly as possible
I didn’t make it to the meeting
So brief me if possible
Briefly if possible
Seriously
Come on
Come on
COME ON
Maybe I see this as a joke
So many hurt feelings
This is getting serious
Maybe I shouldn’t have spoke
Pinched myself to change it all back
But … Continue reading
My Mother Doubts
original December 08, 2007

Put words in a mother’s mouth
My mother doubts
Yes she does
But I does two things
You do three things
I do me things
You do you things
So you say you worked harder
That’s what makes you king
But my mother doubts
Yes she does
Because sometimes it doesn’t hurt
To be a momma’s boy
I’m my mother’s joy
When I talk about my mom oh boy
She’s the reason I’m teething
The reason I’m breathing
But my mother doubts
Yes she does
And the earth cries
Then the earth lies
Not coincidence when the earth tries
To convince me that I should do better
Those times I don’t argue I just let her
Common ground would be this letter
Between me and you [you and I] who’s better?
Ever wondered why when you took that throne
My mother doubts… Continue reading
The Road Travelled…
If you’re ever trying to do something in life that is outside the norm you’ll meet a few people on the way…
The people who help unconditionally; love them, thank them and never forget them
The people who discourage; love them, thank them and never forget them
The people who don’t care; they’re the easiest to deal with because you won’t remember you met them…
You’ll get a lot of advice…listen to all of it and throw away the useless stuff but never turn around and doubt yourself. Question yourself and the validity of what you’re doing but don’t doubt YOURSELF.
– A lot of people will tell you what you’re doing will never work. Those are the ones that have never tried nor even understand what it is you’re doing. Don’t listen to anything they have to say. They are afraid.
– A few people will warn you about … Continue reading
100 Day Story: Day 00004
“Do I love her?
Do I love her?”
He was thinking to himself
“Man
It’s hot out here.”
He was thinking to himself
“Am I even in the realm of a lover?
I feel nervous
Every time that I touch her.”
He was thinking
Maybe he should call Truth
Truth always had the answers
But Truth was just a friend
That he couldn’t contact
This new union
Had closed a dozen doors
admittedly
Nine of them
Were hiding half a dozen whores
But what about the three
With which he didn’t score
Or more accurately
Wasn’t keeping score
“Do I love her?”
He was thinking to himself
“Maybe she’s just another lover.
Maybe
Time was up
The moment I couldn’t touch her.”
He was thinking to himself
So he stopped
Looked around at the scenery
Then took a look at himself
Dress shirt
Pleated pants
Held up by a black… Continue reading
