Remember
This is a love story
Where wives need toy stories
To fix broken communication
Between body and hands
That no longer want to be on her hips
And that might be a part of this
This is as real as it gets
The ever after you fight for
That might not be until death
But you still have to march
Towards the river Styx
Question if this
Is what you really wanted
Another’s child
After broken marriages
Fairy tales
Have always been misleading
To real eyes
That forget how she looks in that dress
In that story
That made you love stories

Spiritual Being
Spiritual being
Born
To explore the earth
In a physical cell
Made of dirt
Battle within itself
In a world so torn
Angry and hateful
Unable to see worth
Given by God
No understanding
Or knowledge of self
Not living
Just breathing
Blindly
Through lies
Told from birth
Spiritual being
Trapped in a cell
Not knowing from whence it fell
Scared and confused
By this earthly living
Not understanding
What it means to be a human being
Detached from both selves
Feeling like an alien
Not fulfilling
Society’s expectations
Outcast of the earth
Unable to complete the mission
Failure in the eyes of many
But gleaming with envy
From what they are seeing
Spiritual being
Born
But dead
Released from the curse of the cell
Free to roam as it pleases
Exploring the earth
Happy & free

Simple
I go through life differently
Simple
I feel differently
Simple
I don’t believe what you do
Simple
I’m black you’re something else
Simple
You’re religious I believe in GOD
Simple
Not really
That line’s too deep to get into
Imagine the answers in the world
Were so simple
That a teenager wouldn’t feel awkward
Because she had a pimple
The worst that would happen that day
Would be what car she would get into
Simple
The yellow one

Answers
Are usual
Common place
A common face
Something you’re used to
A common taste
What they’ve told you
Is the right size
A common waist
And if I check my mind
It states
They’re lying
But you believe the fakes
And for the love of everything I believe in
I will never associate
Even if being alone is the fate
I’m a loner and I’ve always been
I laugh every … Continue reading
100 Day Story: Day 0009
Every tale comes to an end
No one said it would be
Delightful
Or the glass would be half
Or that he’d like the medicine
It held
Or anyone would care how he felt
The inn keeper didn’t
Care about
The fact that he was out of money
Meant this was the end of his story
Truth had spoken to his superior
And agreed to give him time to grieve
That was ending today
He had to leave
Soon
Just to make it
For duty in the morning
Truth was looking forward
To a positive finish
Not mourning
So would Truth shoot him
This afternoon
He had no answer
What was he expecting
Something
Except no answer
So for nostalgia’s sake
He goes back to the meeting place
No to wait
But to waste
Time
Even though it’s pointless
He hates
Time
Checking the sun in the sky
He realises … Continue reading
100 Day Story: Day 0008
She was sleeping
Talking
Walking
Across the stage
Piano player
With no one to turn the page
And she didn’t know
The note that was supposed to come
Next
She was lost in the music
Embarrassed
She wanted to run
Stress
Was turning her thoughts in circles
This was the last day
Halfway done
Everything moving
Like molasses and turtles
The problem with fairy tales
The real ones
They hurt you
Take away everything you hope for
Diminish all it’s worth
The dragon wins at every turn
Every idea
She’s able to burn
And you’ve waited
For the tables to spin
To that one chance
That you’ve finally earned
But what you get
Is the death
Of your hopes and dreams
In a urn
Waiting
Didn’t work
Now demoralized
No friends in a lonely world
Parents who will never realise
Their only child
Is a lonely girl
Struggling
Trapped
And … Continue reading
