Welcome

Speaking for Myself

Been a while? Yes
Been a while? Blessed
Been a while? Stressed

Every introduction deserves a first word
Absurd
The depth of a person is missing ‘til the third
Or so I’ve heard
Seeing is believing but I saw a picture this evening
That only served to cloud my eyes
How deceiving
A lie is a lie no matter who tells it
The truth isn’t just GOD
It’s GOOD
Should be told by every-body
Because we’re made in his image
Get all British and being proper talkin’ ‘bout cricket
Horse racing and cribbage
But a lie is a lie no matter who tells it
No matter how they say it
I could tell twenty but you’d believe
All depends on how I play it

But why would I lie

What would be the purpose
What would be the cause
What would be the reason
Desire
Oh wait
Would I be … Continue reading

100 Day Story: Day 0002

It was the middle of the week
Dark
Outside
Answering
The riddle from Truth
The riddle of the week
“Do you love her
And if yes
Does loving her make you weak?”
A knight
Such as himself
Would have previously been offended
Is that any way
For an advisor to speak
Lowly
He would have said in disdain
But along the way
Unknowingly
He had discovered Truth
So he had wasted
Half a day
On an answer
That is to say
A certain princess
Invaded his mind
Cancer
Cut it out
Before it spreads
Weakness
Fear
His sudden discovery
He wanted to show to Truth
But Truth
Already had the solution
Knowing
The princess
He had to find her
Save her from the monster
She was strong
But fragile
Sometimes
She needs to be cared for
He raced for his transportation
Trusting that the details
Truth would look after
He … Continue reading

100 Day Story: Day 0001

A year and a day
Plus a few hours
Plus or minus
If you may
The princess found herself looking at four walls
One stone room among many great halls
She had her head in her hands
On this Tuesday evening
Work was good
Her daughter was perfect
So why was she grieving
It could be
The fact she had moved back home
For the last year
Maybe it was
The size clothes
That she now wears
Maybe it was
That she had no time
To fix her hair
“Am I sexy?
Am I beautiful?
Does anybody care?”
Even that man
Who provided the ending
She should have seen
He played his role
Foreshadowed in every scene
That bastard
She would kill him
If she sees him
But now
It wouldn’t hurt
If even he
Was here
She takes her hands from her eyes
Sighs
Looking in the mirror
Wondering … Continue reading

Cheer for the Villain (Can I Live?)

Is it wrong in movies
That I cheer for the villain
Not the violence or the killing
But that desire for
Success by any means
God willing
I’m against unnecessary blood spilling
But who wouldn’t want to live in a world
Where the meals are more filling
My veins are more chilled and
Maybe that could be the difference
That we’re no longer children
Since then my life’s been poetic
So if I put it in rhyme
Then
Maybe I can make a killing
Have first billing
Be commended
And sit’in sit’in
Use that to make a difference
But I’m told
It’ll never happen
Since my blood is already chilled and
I’m as cold as ice
Why do I need to still be nice
Why can’t I just be like
Movie star villains
Moving like Jordan
With an assist from Pippen
Contradictions
That doesn’t sound so right
Because then I’ll … Continue reading

Pretending to Understand

World Peace
Can be achieved with money
Because it’s the lack thereof
And the desire for it
That causes conflict
Problem
Solve it
If money doesn’t exist
We won’t have resistive issues
Such as this
But I forgot
The major player in the mix
Something that I missed
People
Don’t change
Simply
Because the standard
We use to measure change
Verses dollars
Were to change
It’s only worded differently
By eras
And generations
I know
That was worded kind of strange
In certain areas
Race
Has seen complacency
No one cares to address
The “isms” that come adjacently
I’m thinking it’s the taste
No historical
Value
Too common place
Especially in the face
If we all looked alike
Colour was the same
Non-distinguishable
From outer space
There wouldn’t be a problem
If that were the case
But I forgot
The major player
It’s a twist
Something that I missed
People… Continue reading
