So many trying to sound intelligent
Knowing nothing they say is relevant
I would apologise
But I’m tired of looking at elephants
To get the full picture
Step out of your element
Where no one gives a fuck about your feelings
Or the need be eloquent
We’re just trying to be informed
We live a long way outside of Norm
Not looking for a way back
Our description doesn’t quite fit on the form
Tired of walking into rooms
With my hands
Surrendering
I don’t mean you no harm
I’ve never been processed
So how should I behave
Act like I’ve been duly reformed
I don’t know you
So why should I show you my charm
Approach me with fear
And mask it with warmth
My sisters telling me
Don’t take it personal
They don’t mean you no harm
Social commentary
From a firsthand point of view
And that wasn’t … Continue reading

Love it Here
I love it here
I listened as she says this with tears in her eyes
There’s no better place for me to be
Your intangibles make it impossible to leave
And I grieve
I know that I’m causing her pain
Feeling helpless
Because there’s a wall between me and the world
And she’s on the outside
Knocking
Knocking
As she says
I love it here
The bricks are warm
The structure is well made and firm
I’ve never felt this safe
And never again will I feel the same
She says this leaning her back against the wall
Whispering my name
With tears in her eyes
And I listened unable to hear her
Slowly deciphering the words on her lips
Eventually I opened the gates to let her in
Watching
Helpless as she moved forward
Trapped like a moth in flames
Getting consumed by the heat of a thousand suns… Continue reading
From the Outside
Speak up
So I can see you
I can read minds
But a closed mouth
With no actions
Has never fought off evil
And every poem before
This
Is the sequel
In a galaxy far far away
Being forced to
Elevate the mind of people
So we can talk
Self-righteous
I told myself
Let me leave you
The middle came first
Defining a legend
No one was impressed
With the prequels
So
I was grandstanding without a stage
Thinking they know the script
Writing unedited lines on a page
There’s no need for introductions
But this is a new generation
And for the old
My face begins to fade
So
“Allow me to reintroduce myself.”
Because I need to
Hello beautiful
Nice to meet you
Use your words
Audio is what I’m into
Your mind and body are open books
But I grow tired of trying to read you
There’s … Continue reading
Human Words – Healthy Debate
I’m afraid
I’m worried
I’m sad
Is there any end
To all of these troubles
I’ve had
That’s where
It starts to feel strange
When I try to relate
Discussing with others
In what I think is
A healthy debate
I smile and I nod
As they tell me about God
That he’s the one that will save us
For those
Who have lost the meaning of self
It’s all that they have
Because they are afraid
They’re worried
They’re sad
Never saw the good in this place
So it’s their way
To close off their eyes
To all that is bad
(and claim that it’s good)
And that’s where
It starts to feel strange
When I try to relate
Things have been strange
As of late
So much happening
That it’s numbing all your feelings
And it can’t get any worse
Your lips are parched
With an abundance of … Continue reading
A Man’s Name
I want you to miss me
Day in and day out
I want you to know that
You’re trapped
In this prison called love
And you’re not looking
For a way out
That’s how I confess love
It’s not I love you
It’s you love me more than life
Because it’s a given
That I’m committed
To making you my wife
Maybe these are just thoughts
From a man’s mind
Selfish
Not looking at your feelings like
That one time
But the only thing separating us
Is I have a man’s name
So
It has to be more
Maybe what I’m asking for
Dedication to me
As I’m dedicated to you
No lies
Now that we’re telling the truth
I met Jessica
Sarah
They left me intrigued
I would like to know them better
Sarah likes the way your cell’s decorated
And she wants to stay
Trapped in this prison … Continue reading
