The Boy and the Wise Man: Stepping Stones (rough intro)

To understand this a bit better I would suggest reading the first part, “The Boy and the Wise Man: Crossroads” (view). There are many references that draw their meaning from it and other poems. Both “Stepping Stones” and “Crossroads” are in fact parts of a larger creation that is taking a bit of time to manifest.

After the first meeting
We’ve met on and off
Again and again
They didn’t seem to mind
My pad and a pen
The BOY and the WISEMAN

They had just invited me
To a party
Birthday the letter said
Good food, good drinks

Poor People – The Consequence of Meaning

I grew my whole life
With poor people
That should make me poor people
But nobody could ever say to us “poor people”
‘Cause we come from a long line
Of proud people
So people
I know some people
Are so, so people
Not remembering back in the day
When food was soso
People
You might not understand
Unless you’ve been through it
Did it how we did it
Joked how we kidded
Before materials were
The joys of life
Before tight jeans and fitted
When clothes were
Stitched and knitted
Hemmed and fitted
Poor people
Nowadays don’t lack things
They lack knowledge
Not education
But honest meditation
Poor people
Are going to lose all
That they’ve gained
Because now they’re
arresting all our artists
Who were explaining our struggles
And pain
Until we have no speakers
And the world doesn’t love us
Again
