A Simple Story About a Man, a Rocket and Going to the Moon

There was once a man who wanted to build a rocket and travel to the moon. He was ridiculed for the idea because he was neither a rocket scientist nor did he have the funds to build a rocket. The man, understanding the truth in the ridicule tried to engage rocket scientists and investors alike but they too balked at the idea and showed something even worst; disinterest. Seeing there was no way around it the man decided he had to get his PhD.

After achieving that first goal the man realised he still lacked funding and now owed a debt for his years of educational pursuit. So, he proceeded to try every way he knew how to raise the “money” he needed. When asked what he was doing the man always responded by saying, “Nothing important.” Remembering the ridicule of previous years he thought it best to continue his … Continue reading

Opinions

Everyone has an opinion or perspective. Through my life I’ve been judged by the clothes I wear, the way I show affection even by the way I express myself. Either my clothes were too nice for the occasion or not nice enough. Either they were cheap or too expensive. Either I was showing off or I was dressing like a bum. I’ve heard that the way I show affection or even simple emotion is too brash or it’s too much. On the other hand I’ve heard that it’s not enough or it needs more emphasis because it’s too subtle. I’ve had people be offended by the way I express myself. They say it’s too crude or it’s too rigid during confrontations. Then I’ve had people say it’s too soft and leans too much towards leniency in situations of conflict.

The Road Travelled…

If you’re ever trying to do something in life that is outside the norm you’ll meet a few people on the way…
The people who help unconditionally; love them, thank them and never forget them
The people who discourage; love them, thank them and never forget them
The people who don’t care; they’re the easiest to deal with because you won’t remember you met them…

You’ll get a lot of advice…listen to all of it and throw away the useless stuff but never turn around and doubt yourself. Question yourself and the validity of what you’re doing but don’t doubt YOURSELF.

– A few people will warn you about … Continue reading

Stairs – Verse 3

Third Verse to an old song
c. 2004

They creep when they walk
And they talk ‘cause they[‘re] sad
Somewhere down the line
They lost both feet
So somebody stole all the dreams that they had
Single mother raising us
Sometimes praising us
Bringing us the calm
When we’re sometimes raising [rising] up
I got [have] instruments that I’m sometimes taking up
Because I can’t sometimes take it
Faaa…
People don’t understand
This is real life
Nothing like TV
Or the books that I’m sometimes taking up
You can’t sometimes make it up
But I’ll make it
Love it or hate it
Or call it luck
They take my kindness for a weakness
And they refuse to look in my eyes
So they[‘re] not hearing
Here’s Johnny
Surprise surprise
Respect me and nobody dies
The future’s coming
I’m trying to be saving lives
I was born fearless
I grew careless… Continue reading
