Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
So I beheld her
After she allowed me to hold her
Permission to get bolder
So I told her
It had something to do with her right shoulder

I earned one
That superficial thing that
Made me want to know her
Burn away all the weeds
That would try to choke her
Buy her a choker
Necklace
Quiet voice speaking up
Saying move slower
The other side responds with
You were being so romantic

The nuance of her speech
The depth they never reached
Is it a product of now
Or a result of those before you
That presented themselves before her
That feel akin to love
Creeping into you

Seeking Self-Awareness within Christianity

My knowledge of other religions is superficial and my knowledge of Christianity is just a little more in depth so it’s only natural that I would begin with exploring the thought of self-awareness through the lens of Christianity first. This thought is not coming from a place of attack on anyone’s beliefs or for the purpose of a Bible quoting war. It is simply an expression of the place where I know myself to exist, a place where there is no conflict between my spirituality and my self-awareness, the place where I AM.

If you are a Christian or hold onto a Christian belief then it makes sense to me that the headline should be that the Christ came; all other stories are simply background or build up.
