Fucking Life

[A request was made to write an answer to the poem LIFE FUCKING and this is what I came up with. Hopefully it can stand with the original.]

When I started out
I stumbled
Like a fool in the dark
She laughed
I wish
But pity was the dish
Served with cold water
Bear with me
As I reminisce
I don’t think she’d mind
If I tell you this
How to get her naked
Arms wide open
When I first met her
I was impatient
I was immature
Trying to be a man
Premature
The tightness of her grip
I wasn’t ready for
Maybe I believed the fantasy on TV
Or bad advice
From those who’ve come before
But it wasn’t that easy
She left me in the corner
Kneeling on the floor
Crawling before I walked
It rains and then it pours
But there wasn’t any wetness
