Welcome

Speaking for Myself

Been a while? Yes
Been a while? Blessed
Been a while? Stressed

Every introduction deserves a first word
Absurd
The depth of a person is missing ‘til the third
Or so I’ve heard
Seeing is believing but I saw a picture this evening
That only served to cloud my eyes
How deceiving
A lie is a lie no matter who tells it
The truth isn’t just GOD
It’s GOOD
Should be told by every-body
Because we’re made in his image
Get all British and being proper talkin’ ‘bout cricket
Horse racing and cribbage
But a lie is a lie no matter who tells it
No matter how they say it
I could tell twenty but you’d believe
All depends on how I play it

But why would I lie

What would be the purpose
What would be the cause
What would be the reason
Desire
Oh wait
Would I be breaking any laws
If I didn’t
I spend many a day trying to explain
I have no reason to cover up what you deem my flaws
Because my strengths
Are what always gets me between you and your draws
Watch those jaws
See
If you were reading you’ll realise I’m only
At word two
Most likely will never due to these limitations make it
To word three
Because communication is limited and you’ll only see
Two and three quarters (2 ¾) of me
I see

Realisation

So I pause the explanation
Pause the pen
Sit down

Frustration

I count to ten and then
I see the world for what it is and
I see the women
The kids
I did (at) one time have this rhyme in my brain
That explained the feeling after the rain
But it seems that it wasn’t meant to be shown
The grass is always greener on the other side of pain
I’ve elected to be quiet
RIIIOOOT
When I finally spoke they said
I should’ve tried it sooner
But back in the day I did
They said they couldn’t take it
They feared it
Words coming unbidden
Desires
wishes
Some I keep hidden ‘til that day when I’ve risen
From the position of watcher to architect
Wait
Getting ahead of yourself
Not yet

Impatience

I’m a little behind time
Things shouldn’t be this way
I say to myself as I write this rhyme
About time and times that I’ve looked
That I’ve booked
Been mistook for the common
My pride
My arrogance and the fact that I won’t bend
Will gain me loyalties and lose many who should be friends
Why pretend
Oh shoot
Guess this is the end
Thanks for the time
Reading this back and I’m laughing
Smiling my friend
For those I work for ‘til I die
I will not break
Until then
