World Peace
Can be achieved with money
Because it’s the lack thereof
And the desire for it
That causes conflict
Problem
Solve it
If money doesn’t exist
We won’t have resistive issues
Such as this
But I forgot
The major player in the mix
Something that I missed
People
Don’t change
Simply
Because the standard
We use to measure change
Verses dollars
Were to change
It’s only worded differently
By eras
And generations
I know
That was worded kind of strange
In certain areas
Race
Has seen complacency
No one cares to address
The “isms” that come adjacently
I’m thinking it’s the taste
No historical
Value
Too common place
Especially in the face
If we all looked alike
Colour was the same
Non-distinguishable
From outer space
There wouldn’t be a problem
If that were the case
But I forgot
The major player
It’s a twist
Something that I missed
People
Don’t change
And differences don’t entwine
Don’t braid
Whether relaxed or dyed
Extensions
You tried for
Didn’t work
And suspensions were applied
To my side of the bridge
Now watch me bounce
Strut
As they tell me
My in depth analysis
Makes me
Better than you
Smarter than you
Tougher
More honest
More true
What would that lead you to do
It never happened
But imagine they did
Call me the most insightful kid
Words with no context would divide us
Keep us apart
From the start
We were all
Trying
To hold together a broken dam
If only we had known
We might have reached across the rift
Given each a hand
Making us stronger together
Say something like

It would be the truth
