Constructive Criticism

I made a documentary of the world
And no matter where I went
Things weren’t getting any better
So I wrote GOD this letter
Dear father who art in heaven
Ever since I was seven
I looked at the sky
And didn’t understand
The meaning of heaven
Or the purpose of life
If
I could get a hundred women
Why get a wife
If I could buy a gun
Why get a knife
Without a purpose
We’re left with this chaos
We call life
Then GOD wrote me back a letter
Packed inside a sweater
With a post script
That said
This is for the weather
And the body
Went like this
The purpose of life
Isn’t for things to get worse
Or get better
Or like a song
The beauty doesn’t come
At the end of the measure
I know it doesn’t seem like this
But
You should be living life at your leisure
Because in the end
When I read out the ledger
It’s not gonna be who’s richer
Or who did what better
It’s for those
Who saw their sister failing and helped her
There were more examples like that
In the letter
But what I got from it was
We need to forget about self
Stop looking to heaven
To make this world better
We need to remember
Our father
Mother
Brother
Sister
And aunt Rita
You too Anita
You need her
Because we’re all we have
We should be helping each other
So I took in a deep breath
Folded the letter
Knowing that we’re too caught up
In ourselves
So this world won’t get any better
